Astonishingly Bright and Easy To Operate February 23, 2010 rsu (Elberon, NJ - USA) I use this light on the zipper pull of the jacket I wear when walking the dog. The light is easy to turn on and off while wearing gloves in the winter, the clip is easy to attach to a zipper pull or to a key ring and the light is plenty bright to help me see so I can pick up after my dog at night. I also use this light to see when I'm trying to fit a key into a lock at night -- it's a great tool for this purpose. In a pinch, this light is bright enough to read by in the dark. The Impulse Multipurpose Light also comes with a clip so that you can attach it to the brim of a baseball cap and use it as a hands-free light, but I've never had occasion to try this accessory because the basic light works so well on my zipper. If I have any gripe at all about this product it is that it is just a wee bit larger than I might like for my use of it as a zipper-pull accessory.
Light and Bright January 3, 2007 Kenneth R. Mitschke (Schertz, TX USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a solid, bright light that works well consistently and is very easy to attach and detach from key rings, belt loops, etc.; however, it is definitely on the bulky side. I prefer the Photon II's size for my key ring but battery changes in the Photon II are an ordeal. So, I'm still looking for an ideal key ring light. The Impulse will do for now.
Great light but could be smaller May 3, 2008 Texas (USA) This is a very good light in every way, except that it is a bit larger than I really like for carrying in my pocket. It works well, and doesn't turn on in my pocket or purse like the other brand I had. I also think the clip on the end is great - doesn't open too easily on mine.
A little brightness anywhere August 25, 2008 Brett S. Upton (Manchester, VT) This was a replacement for the same light I put on my keychain a year and a half ago. It went with me everywhere, to work, the occasional dunk in the river, and 460 miles the appalachian trail. There are bright and bigger lights but I haven't found anything better that you can keep with you all the time. Cheap batteries if you buy in bulk.
Downside 1: No lock to keep it off in your pocket. You sometimes find you have been lighting the inside of your pocket.
Downside 2: The clever way the light snaps into either the carabiner base or the hat-clip base eventually wears and gets loose. That's how I lost the first one of these things. It's still the best daily answer I have to fading eyes in fading light.
Not Durable and Too High Priced April 28, 2008 David Ross (Rochester, NY USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
While I loved the features and brightness this light lasted only about 10 months for me. For the $15 price I expect more. Keychain flashlights are wonderfully convenient. As an alternative, I recommend such simpler, less costly ($8 to $9) and more durable lights as the Garrity LED Key Chain Lite and the Gerber 0-4 Highbeam, Silver, Light White Bulb, 22-80023.
