Brilliant! April 20, 2006 B. Mitchell (Los Altos, CA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I use this all the time! The beam travels really far, and the flashlight itself feels very sturdy, so I'm not afraid to drop it. Well worth the cost.
The only downside is the batteries. It costs about $15 to buy more batteries for this thing. Still, good flashlight!
Great Flashlight - Not sure about battery August 14, 2007 A. Darr (O-H----I-O) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I really enjoy this flashlight. I purchased it after seeing my friend with one. The price is not too bad and it packs a punch for the size. I have not had it long enough to speak on the battery life, but my friend says it's not bad. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a functional flashlight that will leave everyone jealous asking what it is.
Great Light December 23, 2007 Michael Ching 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Got this light about 4 years ago from sharper image. Was really expensive back then. Still works great and battery life is very good. I have let my nephew take it into the bathtub to play with and the seals seem to hold up. I suggest you take it apart and let everything dry out after use underwater.
Terrific broad beam convenient light, long lasting May 27, 2009 Tom D (Columbus, OH United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a terrific flashlight; incredibly well made and compact. I've given many away as gifts and just lost mine so am ordering another. The one I lost will turn up; I suspect it's been "borrowed" and it will work when it turns up regardless of how it may have been abused. It comes with a convenient elastic belt holster, but I usually put it in my pocket.
It is a "broad" or "flood" beam, not a spot. Inova makes others that are "spot" focused. It's very bright, and I know this reads as silly, but it really shines in the dark. If you compare this light to another in the dark, you'll really appreciate the difference in intensity over the width of the beam. It's the perfect light when the electricity is out and you find yourself walking around in the dark. The broad beam helps avoid tripping over things that are just in the periphery. And the broad beam is even so you won't find yourself moving or rolling the flashlight to look at something without the unevenness of an incandescent bulb.
If you like to work with a flashlight in your mouth, this isn't the one...it's small enough but just a tad too heavy and metallic to be comfortable for anything more than a few seconds. If this comment doesn't make sense, it doesn't apply to you.
The light will roll on a flat surface. Just an observation, not a complaint. I suspect you could drop it from 30 feet onto concrete and it would still work flawlessly.
When people see me using this light they ALWAYS ask about it and want one. The batteries last a long time and have a long shelf life so I buy them in bulk packs of 12 for the best price.
Because of the compactness, durability, brightness and long battery life, this is my preferred general purpose flashlight.
Great little flashlight December 14, 2007 D. Weiermann (Milwaukee, WI United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I work in the theatre which means that I'm always working in the "dark". This flashlight allows me to illuminate what I need to see for many hours. . and is very robust. . .both in light output and construction. The defuse quality of light that comes out of the flashlight is great for close up work. . but the flashlight has enough punch so that I can see much farther if I need to. I highly recommend this flashlight to anyone.
