    Maglite LED Flashlight

Back in early 2006, Maglite announced and started selling their first LED flashlight (light emitting diode). But they did not list these products in the market until early October 2008. Before they announced LED version of Maglite, there were third-party LED upgrade kits for a various models of Maglite previously for some time. The current manufacture line of Maglite LED is equipped with a 3-watt Luxeon LED and power regulation circuit.

5 out of 5 stars A "must have" item   June 4, 2007

I have three of these and I love them. The flashlight is of a useful brightness and the emergency light aspect will be worth its weight in gold the next time my power goes out at night. I'd been looking for these without success. Unfortunately I didn't find them until a day or two after our power went out for five hours the other night and they would have been really handy. :-( My neighbor has some and he said the flashlights ran the whole time the power was out without a problem.

The night light may be too bright for Movie Man, but I think it's just right. The plug is not polarized, so you can point the night light portion up or down, and I do both. Up in the kitchen and master bathroom, and down in the hall. The one in the hall is perfect for illuminating the hall at night so I don't need to turn on the light just to walk down the hall.

Absolutely a five-star product in my opinion.

Price tip: These are a little cheaper at Wally World and my neighbor says he got a 3-pack for even less per light at Sam's Club.

As a power failure light, this product is excellent. However; the attached "night light" is much too bright for a night light. I had to used colored tape to cover the bulb housing to dim the light some. Otherwise, a fine product.

I love this item, I have four and all work perfectly, I even use them as flashlights from time to time. The greatest feature is that a light shines down as well as up. The only slight drawback is that they use one plug and blocks the other.

This does it all. I am a new mom and just put one in my little girl's room for convenience and safety. I especially like the fact that I will have light in her room should the power go out. The flashlight is a great feature and you do not have to worry about it being charged.

We bought some of these lights to use at work and I liked them so much that I bought several to use at home. They idle at less than one Watt each, so there's not much reason not to have all of them plugged in and running. My wife objects to the functional styling and to what she calls the "blue" light that they emit. The light is actually a nice daylight white color, but our eyes are trained to expect night lights to be a cozy, warm, yellow-orange color, so these will appear blue in comparison until your eyes get retrained. They are pretty decent little flashlights, too. It would be nice if they didn't cover both receptacles when plugged in to an outlet, but I don't see any way around it. Highly recommended
