    Petzl LED headlamps

    Petzl is a manufacturer of at-height work equipment, climbing gear, caving gear, and headlamps based in Crolles, France. The company was found by Fernand Petzl, the cave explorer, around the mid of 1970s. Petzl was the first manufacturer that utilize LED (light-emitting diode) technology in their headlamps, resulting in more battery efficient headlamps. This LED technology was subsequently adopted by many other flashlight and headlamps manufacturers in the outdoor industry.

Product Description
The M6 2330 LED uses a 1 watt Luxeon LED for intense brightness, extended battery burn time, and long lamp life. The strong body is CNC-machined aluminum with knurled grip for a secure handle. Plus, the convenient push button tail cap switch has a safety lockout feature to prevent inadvertent battery depletion or accidental activation. The M6 comes with a free Cordura® holster with back-up battery pouch.

Product Description
Accompanied by a nylon holster with spare-battery pouch, this 5.51-inch LED flashlight uses a one-watt Luxeon® module that's bright and efficient. The CNC-machined aluminum body includes a knurled (ridged) pattern for a secure grip and is resistant to corrosion and extreme temperatures. A click tail-switch turns on the flashlight for constant light or momentary blink. There's also a safety lockout to prevent inadvertent battery depletion or accidental activation. Powered by two CR123 lithium batteries (included) with a 40-hour burn time, the flashlight weighs 5.5 ounces with batteries.

Dave Parker, president of Pelican Products, has been an avid scuba diver since age 11.
