5 out of 5 stars Awsome but prefer the T4   December 30, 2006

Inova flashlights made by Emissive Energy Co has really put together the best line of flashlights available, whether you need one for military/police,to walk around the block with or you just like to carry a light on your belt or in your purse there is a Inova light made for you.The quality is outstanding none feel like there mass produced, they all feel custom made. This review is under the T5(Tactical)but their are five "T" series lights to feet your needs T1,T2,T3,T4,T5 all diffrent in size and power. The things all have in common are Type III military aluminum, this is really good alot of lights are type I,II or even worse. They are all are.98" in diameter and have a non slip grip, glass lenses are used in all,no plastic here. There shock and crush proof and are water resistant and carry a lifetime warranty, they all also use 123 battery's except the T4 its rechargeable.the T1 is 4.59" long uses one 123 battery is 35 lumens and burns for 1.5 hours before the battery needs replacing. The T2 is 5.9 inches long,40 lumens and uses two 123 battery's and will run for 5 hours before battery replacement. The T3 is 6.25" long also uses two 123 battery's is 85 lumens and also runs for 5 hours. The T4 is 8" long 100 lumens and is RECHARGEABLE it will burn for twp hours before needing a recharge, recharging station is included. The T5 is 8.75" long uses three 123 battery's 100 lumens, and burns for three hours before battery's need replacing. If you need a holster for your pants or your military/police utility belt I would suggest the Bianchi Accumold flashlight holder 7911 XL size fits the T4 and T5 while the 7911 L size fits the T2 and T3.If your looking for any type of light and want your money's worth here it is my favorite lights.

5 out of 5 stars Inova T5 Review   July 31, 2008
Paula (Phoenix, AZ)

Paula here in Phoenix. The 2008 version of the Inova T5 is brighter than any other flashlight in the Inova line, and brighter than the Maglite 3W LED. Just bought two of them, and I am quite pleased, overall. I rate it 5 Stars, but one drawback is that it is not watertite (It's rated "Water Resistant" on the website, but not on the shipping box.). Don't immerse it in water, like if you needed to wash it off. The rubber cover on the switch is not a compression seal, and water can flow around it and get into the switch circuitry where it can cause corrosion or short out the circuitry. So, if you have to use the flashlight in heavy rain, or whatever, keep the switch area dry if possible, and don't drop it into a puddle. The Maglite switch cover is the same way, too. I don't understand it, why bother with O-ring seals if the switch can leak. Especially at that price!

5 out of 5 stars Review Inova T5 2008 Version   July 31, 2008

30July2008
Paula here in Phoenix. Just bought two of the Inova T5, 2008 Version Flashlights. After using them and looking them over, I rate the T5 as 5 Star. They are mechanically quite rugged. I have two other Inova models, the X5 and the XO3, and the 2008 Version of the T5 is the brightest in the line. Even brighter than the 3W LED Maglite, which is pretty good! One drawback that really bugs me is that the rubber switch cover on the T5 is not a compression seal, it's loose, and can leak water if the flashlight is used in a heavy rain or where water is splashed around a lot. All the Inova Flashlights are rated as "Water Resistant", but come on, why bother with O-ring seals if the switch cover leaks!? Especially at that price! By the way, the Maglites are the same way.

5 out of 5 stars bright very bright   June 22, 2009

These inova's to me are the best money can buy when it comes to extremely bright led lights, i bought some other imitation brands with the same amount of lumens but they just dont keep up with the intensity of the beam compared to an inova. the inova has a very intense beam for 200 lumens u wont be disapointed. plus the lifetime warranty is awesome , , i have sent mines (an older t3 model )in to be repaired no questions asked and received a brand new one two weeks later..

5 out of 5 stars Inova T5-MP Flashlight   January 24, 2010

Just recieved mine. It ain't cheap but it sure is a great flashlight.

I initially bought it because I wanted to turn it on and off easity with one hand. Almost all other similiar flashlights have the on/off switch on the end cap. The Inova T5's switch is on the barrel which makes using it very easy. It's small, well made, and puts out a tremendous amount of light. I made the mistake of turning the thing on and looking directly at the light....darn near blinded myself. The 4 position switch is ingenious. Anyone in the market for a tactical flashlight should certainly consider this one.
