    Petzl LED headlamps

    Petzl is a manufacturer of at-height work equipment, climbing gear, caving gear, and headlamps based in Crolles, France. The company was found by Fernand Petzl, the cave explorer, around the mid of 1970s. Petzl was the first manufacturer that utilize LED (light-emitting diode) technology in their headlamps, resulting in more battery efficient headlamps. This LED technology was subsequently adopted by many other flashlight and headlamps manufacturers in the outdoor industry.

I ordered these for my two siberian huskies and have been using them daily for about two weeks. It took a great effort to actually switch off the demo mode---follow the directions but hold down for nearly 40 seconds. These are great blinking lights. Since I urban mush the huskies on a dog scooter, this increases the safety at night as they are about 8 feet in front pulling me along. I also purchased the bell light arm band to keep me blinking away from the rear (arm band with light facing back).
