| Customer Reviews: Awesome flashlight November 9, 2009 Zzzzz (Cali) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
At 1/2 watt the LED lights great. Rated at 3 hours, but untested so far. Great deal since I bought it on sale.
Nice little light source January 7, 2010 The Pooch Professor (Atlanta, Georgia) I bought two of these after seeing it in the National Geographic catalog. (I am a sucker for lights, carabiners, and small knives.) I had seen the ones at REI, a store I try to buy from whenever possible because of their awesome return policy, but none of the ones there had the lanyard so that you could take the light with you out of the car and not lose it.
The one in NG did. Problem? It was $35. I didn't need it that badly (I like cool stuff, but I'm cheap).
Then I found these, and I got 2 for less than $35, including shipping. It's the same light. It fits well in the charger port in my Ford Ranger, but a little looser in my other car (Mazda minivan), though it still charges. It glows an easy-to-see red while charging.
The light is bright and focused. It serves its purpose well. I haven't had the need to use it enough to discharge the battery, so I can't vouch for battery life.
The lanyard is secured to a little rubber cap that fits over the unlit end of the light. The only other thing I might like with it would be a clip to make it truly hands-free. But I haven't seen that as an option.
But as is, it was definitely worth the price.
I liked the idea, but... July 29, 2010 Mustafa Sboul This spotlight is perfect if it just was fitting right in the cigarette lighter without having to move it around every while till it charges back again. Also, i wished if the light would have a bit brighter.
The quality of these details should be more taken care of.
